Overall Summary

As a SAP Basis Consultant, you will need to facilitate the technical implementation, upgrades, and ongoing support of SAP products and processes to enhance the value that customers receive from their SAP solutions. The person assumes a lead role in the implementation process and typically is involved in the installation, maintenance and fine tuning of the applications in concert with the underlying database, operating system and network.

Responsibilities

• Assume primary responsibility for solving customers’ technical issues by providing technical expertise, project planning, guidance and instruction on SAP solutions and business processes.
• Analyze customers technical requirements and systems infrastructure (e.g., system architecture & landscape design)
• Provide support in the areas of database administration, SAP product installations, upgrades, SAP Administration (e.g., Transport Management, back-up/recovery procedures) change management, performance tuning and overall technical consulting assistance.
• Migration of systems from one location to another and consolidation of systems
• Execute Upgrades, Enhancement Packages implementation Execute System copies, os/db migration
• Responsible for setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of SAP on Linux/Oracle environments.
• Participate as a key member of the SAP Migration and upgrade team to provide the technical deliverables for SAP Basis, Infrastructure projects
• Support project teams during the development cycle and provide technical support during deployments
• Troubleshoot / resolve problems reported by project teams

Qualifications

Required

• Requires 7-10 years SAP professional experience in product application/ implementation.
• Must have minimum 3+ years of SAP Basis experience on SAP ERP, SCM, BW, Solution Manager Systems
• Must have minimum hands-on experience on 2 full lifecycle implementation, upgrade or migration projects
• Hands-on experience in ORACLE, DB2, MSSQL, HANA
• Hands on experience managing a multi-tier landscape

Preferred

• Hands-on experience a plus in Linux or UNIX
• Ability to analyze and review complex technical issues and provide appropriate recommendations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven multitasking and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to customers in a timely manner
• General understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization methods, and backup technologies preferred
• SAP certifications a plus
