The global retail sales were estimated to be around USD $26.7 Trillion by the year 2022, increased from USD $23.6 Trillion in the year 2018.
The retail industry includes the sales jouney of goods or service. It starts with the manufacturing and ends with purchase by a consumer from a manufacturer or dealer or retailer. Retail companies are typically in many forms such as grocery stores, restaurants, bookstores, etc.
Due to globalization and trade agreements between various markets, retailers are doing business on a global scale. Many U.S. retailers were successful and can be seen by their performance in online retail.
The domestic retail market in the USA is very lucrative and competitive. Walmart is the leader in retail space in the USA. Asia also comprises of few biggest retailers in China, Japan, and India.
