LULU was one hyper-market at that point of time when we got the project.
They had aggressive plans of opening up atleast 12 hypermarkets in a year, which means one hypermarket per month in the region.
Problem
This is also a very challenging project. They had the legacy systems, be it Point of Sale (PoS) or back-end systems.
The challenge was to create an ecosystem, which caters all the best practices of retail systems that will allow scalability in the region.
Solution
We went onto complete evaluation process. There were top 5 companies in foray, we were selected based on domain experience we had in Retail. We commenced this extremely large project costing more than USD 30 million.
We implemented SAP IS Retail ECC 6.0, and in record time of 9 months. While we were implementing, LULU were opening up 4 more hypermarkets. When we went LIVE, there were 7 hypermarkets within 8 months. We were managing this scalability along with the GO LIVE preparation of SAP Retail.
Result
This was one of the largest successful SAP IS Retail implementation in Hypermarket environment.
Point of Sale (PoS), loyalty programs and complete IS Retail processes were implemented on SAP.
This project also included SAP CRM and SAP BI & Analytics.
