Top notch companies including SAP were called to solve this issue. Finally SEAL Infotech’s initiatives were taken into consideration by DEWA, where-in we took this issue as a challenge, reviewed the existing gaps, which were inherent in the implemented processes of SAP.
We were able to successfully solve this problem reducing the bill payment process from an hour to 2-3 seconds, by implementing very unique solution of retail in the front-end where in all the utility bills were converted into 2D barcodes having all the customer details, account details, amount details, etc. When the customer comes with the bill, a simple scan will complete the transaction of bill payment.
We also created new processes, where customer can pay into multiple accounts in one receipt, where for example, large real estate companies having multiple tenants can finish in one single invoice, and at the same time, all the tenants getting their individual invoices respectively in single transaction.
Further, DEWA had front-end cash reconciliation where millions of Dirhams were collected on a daily basis, to have a centralized reconciliation at head office of DEWA. It was all seamlessly integrated back to SAP FICO. It was total end-to-end process integrations done by SEAL Infotech.
